User Interface Engineer

Department: New Media | Division: Software Engineering | Type: Full time | Location: Mumbai

 

Responsibilities

• Convert designs into clean and easy to maintain markup using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Create clean mark-up that is scalable, accessible and search engine friendly.
• Design for and troubleshoot cross browser compatibility issues.
• Participate in the design and development of new UI functionality for web applications.
• Troubleshoot and fix defects in the user interface of our products.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience developing web application using Javascript, AJAX and standards compliant HTML.
• Strong experience with at least one front end framework, preferably jQuery.
• Demonstrated skills overcoming browser quirks and inconsistencies.
• Bonus points for familiarity with JSP.
• Strong user experience instincts.
• Good understanding of SEO tips, tricks and techniques a major plus.
• Exposure to tools such as SVN, Trac etc.
• CSS3 and HTML5 a bonus.
• Should believe in team work from the bottom of the heart and enjoy working in a team of highly skilled engineers.
